I have also setup a Twitter account, which basically means I read Chris Rock talking about how many babes 50Cent has following him. Its not as bad as it sounds.

Since I've been in Scum Valley looking after Dad and visiting people, Luke, Rob and Nick came and visited and to shred some local parks.

Rob had a new board. It should be noted he was the only one not riding a creature board and wearing vans and dickies.

As well as coming to a few skateparks, I gave them a tour of the local sights. This is luke finding out where electricity comes from.

The local culinary delights did not go unnoticed as Nick quite enjoyed his George's hamburger.

I don't really mess around on a skateboard too much anymore, but it should be known that despite the rust, I've still got some tricks in the bag.

(I'm back, Lauren bought me a new camera for XXXmas)

So my Dad crashed his motorcycle 3 days before Xmas. For someone that came off at a shade below 100km an hour, he is doing pretty well. This was taken on Xmas eve, and that is his efforts at a smile. A few broken bones, lots of bruising and some other issues though nothing life threatening or permanent.

After leaving Dad in hospital, I spent Xmas eve at the Wakefield's house, which they have now sold. This is Steph with her horse and Shan's friend from the US who is here doing some conservation type stuff.

Its crazy the stuff people post on the internet, and if you're from the area and have done something dodgy on the internet, chances are we looked at it. A bit cruel, but hilarious either way.

After opening a few presents, we went visiting for breakfast. The scrambled eggs were nice.

We had a quick lunch at Nanna and Grandpas before heading back to the city to get Dad as he had talked the doctors into letting him out for a bit before we take him back on Thursday for some tests and an operation or two. This is my cousin Shaun, with Grandpa hiding under his arm.

Las Vegas is a genuine shithole, but we'll get to that.

I got up early to get the car from the rental place around the corner from Shan's. I love it when people do the upsell, so we ended up with a bigger 4wd than what was booked, which fit into the LA stereotype quite well. I went back to the house to get Lauren and say out goodbyes to Shan, before picking up Lyss and Christina from their hostel.

The drive to Las Vegas from LA is very straight forward and on the biggest highway I have ever seen. Its pretty desolate out there, but the mountains and scenery are pretty impressive. Much more impressive than you would expect from a desert.

Along the way are two towns that exist purely to sell you discounted whatever. Its like a massive DFO in the desert that sells EVERYTHING, but all of it is garbage so I only bought a pair of vans I would have bought elsewhere anyway. I asked one of the girls at the second one that we went to, where everyone lives that works at these places and she said they either live at the casino next door(which has a rollercoaster!) or they drive up from Las Vegas. Living in the casino and working at these malls would make any sane person go crazy, which is probably why this girl at the store was having trouble filling the retail position she had advertised in the window.

Despite how much of a hell hole Vegas is, arriving was pretty impressive. Even though we had seen everything in movies and photos 1000 times before, its that much more exciting seeing it for yourself. We drove the strip and took a heap of photos before ending up at our hotel.

Gambling and drinking with the worst of American's doesn't interest me, so I was happy to be heading to Interbike for a day. Interbike was exactly as I expected. So many bikes and parts to look at, pros to fan out about and then the stories from those living the Vegas nightlife to entertain us all. The best booth was the Skavenger/Animal one with Mike Brennan working the floor and the best New York street dudes hanging out. They also had a ridiculous amount of stickers to put in your show bags, so I was set.

The photo above is me with Robbie Morales. I'd met him before previously at Flem Banks when he was here with Fit, but I have a lot of respect for the guy so got a photo with him to confirm it. And if anyone cares, my alliance is with Cult. Cult will be the biggest and best bmx company in two years time, they've got their products dialled, the best team in the business and enough hype to get it across the line.

At our hotel we had a rollercoaster on the roof, and after eating way too much italian we paid the $14US to ride it. I can't stand spinning rides, but rollercoasters are the best. This one had a loop and also a cork screw, so it was pretty exciting.

I also went to Nora cup where everyone got WILD!!! You'll see footage of it on the internet, the main thing you should take note of is Chris Doyle being carried to the stage for winning best dirt rider. Bmx parties always get loose in Australia, so it was good to see that the same thing happens in the US.

The one Vegas tourist thing I liked is the dancing fountains at some hotel which I can't remember the name of. Its on the left if you're walking up from New York, New York anyway. THAT WAS AWESOME!! It sounds lame, and even trying to explain it is just as bad, but water dancing to music is the best thing about Vegas.

We flew out to New York super early on a Friday after only 3 days in Vegas, which was probably almost too long to be there. Only go to Vegas if you want to spend the whole time drunk, or if your boss is paying for you to attend a trade show.

We started off our America trip in Los Angeles, staying at Shanrah's house in West Hollywood. For the first couple of days, Shan was off in Italy so we had full use of her bedroom and car to explore. Everyone hates on LA, but we both found it great, I think the fact that we had a car and had researched what we wanted to do made it alot better.

Fairfax is the street which has Supreme, HUF, Diamond, FLight Club and The Hundreds on it. There was a Diamond X Blvck Scale release on the day we were there so all the street wear dudes were dressed up in their best outfits. I was excited to visit the HUF store as for some reason I have a slight obsession with it, even though there is nothing that really makes it stand out from every other 'high end' street wear brands.

After going out to some club just off Hollywood Blvd the night before, Lauren and I went riding along Venice beach down past Santa Monica Pier. Its really foggy in LA in the morning and night so the views weren't perfect, but it was very relaxing and good to turn some pedals.

The photo above was taken just past Santa Monica Pier and is where Ruben did his wallride in the last Etnies video. Riding a bike along the beach seems boring as shit, though it was probably one of the better things we did while in LA.

Shan came back from Italy that night so I went to the airport and picked her up while Lauren and the girls went to an expensive restaurant where 'celebrities go'. Shan has been doing the LA thing for a little while so it was good to hang out with her in her now natural surroundings.

The following day was spent at Disneyland which is most definitely, 100 percent the happiest place on earth. I wasn't too excited for it, but Lauren and Shan got me hyped and we ran around the park all day like little kids. The lines weren't super long and we got to go on everything we wanted to without any major hassles. We finished off the day with GREAT mexican around the corner was Shan's, and then a visit into the Hollywood Hills to see a sketchy mansion type house where she used to live, which is owned by an ex NFL superstar.

Other highlights of LA include bumping into my friend Mae who I met through collecting sneakers years ago. The last I had spoken to her she had moved to New York to marry a dude who runs/owns Zoo York, but then we randomly saw her in a nurses outfit working at Agent Provocateur!

Los Angeles is much better than people give it credit for, just make sure you have a car, a gps and addresses of where you want to go. And go to Canters on Fairfax for dinner. DELICIOUS.

I'm pretty close to buying a new camera, so here are some phone photos that you have probably already seen on facebook.

I'm not sure which party this was for, but it was at Heist and there was free beer so everyone was there. Heist is currently in the middle of moving to Brunswick Street, into a much nicer shop with more traffic so hopefully it benefits their business. It won't be the same hanging out there on a Saturday though. This is Rob, he is in Japan with Sinead at the moment.

Cooper has been working for Colony the past year or so, and there was alot of talk about when he was going to ride for them, if at all. Millar offered him a sweet job and one day he turned up on this new bike instead of a WeThePeople. Cooper and Millar have worked well together to rebrand Colony after the split from TripleSix. Its good to see less stars on parts.

Lauren came to my Mum and Dads on boxing day and we hung out with my grandparents. Grandpa gave her a heap of vegetables and whilst they were digging up potatos, they found a frog in the dirt. Lauren thought it was fake because Grandpa plays tricks like that, but when it hopped off she was surprised to find out it was a real frog.

This is on the way to Apollo Bay, at one of the towns before it gets real windy coming through the mountains. I don't know why this dinosaur was there, but it was gone when we went past a few days later. It was very life like and I think it might have even been remote controlled.

I have a Backbone ad in the new 2020 magazine for my great filming skills. Liam is also in it to indicate the type of stuff filmed. I don't know why they put his name on the add though, when it is obviously all about me.

Biggie Salad was down visiting when the new issue of Focalpoint came out. He has a hunch he was going to be on the cover, but it wasnt until he went with Cooper to pick up the magazines that his suspicions were confirmed. This was the start of the Biggie Salad cover tour, as he went with Cooper all the way to Brisbane delivering magazines. He even signed a copy for Lauren. She is a lucky girl.

Tim had a birthday so I went to the valley to attend. We went out for dinner and most chose the parma because is there really any other option!? The cinema was next to the venue so we played dance dance something for a good hour. I wasn't that great at it.

One of the great things about going back to Mum and Dad's is using their computer. It hasn't been connected to the internet for years, but there is so much amazing things on it like this photo. This was the day Tom got his VX2100. We had previously walked around Melbourne in the rain looking for one to buy from a store. He even carried around $4000 cash in his pocket, but in the end he had to get it from overseas.

Catching the train into the city to ride city park has been pretty standard lately. City park on Monday afternoon is great because there are very few people there, but keep that between us.

I haven't always been a huge Wu-Tang Clan fan, but the last couple years have been all about the Wu. RZA came to Melbourne and had a signing. This is a blurry Nathan with RZA and his dj. Nathan said he was shaking when he met him, which is completely understandable.

For valentines day, LAuren and I went to the zoo. It was super hot and very busy because everyone wanted to see some baby elephant. We didnt see the baby elephant, but we did see some full grown ones.

On the weekend past Lauren and i were in Apollo Bay. It looked like it was going to get crazy with storms, but nothing happened. it didnt even rain or get windy.

Cooper's Dad builds custom Harley Davidson parts and this is his 1942 Harley Davidson 750cc WLA. His Dad's love for motorcycles isn't a mid-life crisis deal like most Harley Davidson owners, its a life long dedication to the freedom motorcycles can bring.

I’ve been riding with Cooper for the last couple of years, and in that time I’ve found him to be one of the most motivated people I know. Any hour of the day he is either out riding, searching for spots, shooting photos, filming, working on his magazine, doing artwork for Colony, as well as replying to the 24 msn windows that seem to always be open on his computer.
If the option was available on the Census forms we filled out every year, I’m sure he would put ‘living the dream’ as his occupation because that’s exactly what he is doing. Other than getting angry at himself for not half cabbing over a drain on the weekend, its very rare to see Cooper negative towards anythingbecause whether he is working at his computer, riding a school in the suburbs or driving across the country at night punching the steering wheel to his favourite xhardcorex anthems, you know he wouldn’t want to be doing anything else.
Since Cooper has his hands in so many projects, he has started a site, One Love One Life, to showcase everything he does and give people a chance to see some of his favourite pieces of work.

Cooper also just emailed through an interview he has on the DigBMX website. Dig is the best BMX magazine in the world, so its a huge honour for anyone to be interviewed by them.

On Sunday we were riding with the guys from Western Australia, when we were asked by some random girls if we could all get into her car as they needed to fit as many people as they could in a vehicle for a scavenger hunt. As we are very helpful young men, we all climbed in and spent a few minutes squashed up in this car whilst everyone else laughed. We got out and they thanked us for our efforts, and off they went.
On Monday or Tuesday Simon sent me a facebook message saying these girls involved in this scavenger hunt were his friends and that their was video on youtube, which is below.

I go to Sydney tomorrow for Halloween Jam and general riding around. It should be fun.

Lauren took a ridiculous amount of underwater photos whilst we were at Heron Island months ago. This is obviously us, everyone looks the same underwater.

you only need to stick your head under the water a little to see everything.
The fish just go about their business, i figure they are used to tourists like us gawking at their everyday behaviours.

This clam is pretty small, but there was a HUGE one when we went out on the dive boat. Its so tempting to stick your hand in there to see if it would actually close on your.

I was super hyped to see turles. Since the early 1950s, it has been illegal to ride on turtles. they even had signs.

I wrote a review of Mutiny Bikes newest dvd, Let's Get Mystical.
You can read it here, or just continue reading as it is copied and pasted below. It is pretty long for a bmx dvd review, but sometimes you need more than 144 characters to voice your opinion.

Mutiny - Let's Get Mystical.
(If you are between 13-17 and your attention span doesn't last long enough to read a few paragraphs go straight to the bottom for the shortened review)
I like Mutiny. I have never actually purchased any of their products, but everything they do I have nothing but praise for. I like their previous DVD and web video releases, well designed t-shirts (which they also print on American Apparel), shredding team and even little details like 20.666inch sized frames.
Cooper gave me Let's Get Mystical to review and I figured I wouldn't be doing it any justice watching it on a laptop, so off to JB I went to get a TV. An hour or so later and I'm all set up to watch Let's Get Mystical. My first observation of this video is the lack of parts; the sections are split into geographical location. This is great because you can put it on and get a Whitman’s Sampler of riding, but if you want to watch a Randy Taylor part before you go to the park and do some nose manuals, this might not be the video for you.
Mutiny's previous release, Stoked On Being Pumped, was applauded for its use of HD filming of awesome riding instead of great HD filming of mediocre riding (Odyssey's Electronical). This is continued with Let's Get Mystical which is great to see, it’s also good to see the use of a steady cam for a lot of the footage which has not been utilised too much in bmx videos previous. Some of the double angles look like they have been filmed on a vx2100 or similar, as the footage isn't as crisp as the HD stuff, but you can't expect a company to carry around two HD cameras, so I'll let the quality difference slide. There is also the usual arty footage of bridges and cities, which is fine. It’s not overloaded like some videos, so it gets my approval.
It is hard to highlight a specific banger for each person due to the lack of individual parts. I have watched this DVD 5 times already and each view reveals something awesome I completely missed the previous times around. Josh Bedford shows his usual awesomeness in the England section, whilst Matt Roe does a sweet over pedal slide on the edge of a drain spine (very similar to the drain spine in Canberra). I have a small place in my heart for Hanson Little because he rides a chrome bike and has a beard, the fact that he pedals flat out at everything could also play a part in my attraction to his riding. He does a manual up and over a north shore see-saw (google it if you don't know what north shore is) then 360 out pretty early on in the video that I liked, also a gap off a ledge, over a gap then down some stairs which I'm sure would look ten times bigger in real life. For the trail dogs out there, the Mutiny team ride a whole heap of trails through out, which is always good to see. I'm no expert on trails, and I'm fairly sure my last two bikes have never seen dirt except for cutting through a park when I ride home from the city, but I can appreciate the time and effort it takes to groom trails and also to be able to shred the hell out of them. Kick outs galore and hitting berms at super sonic speed with minimal X games tricks, the good type of trails footage.
The soundtrack only has one rap song, so Marnold automatically doesn't like it, but personally I'm down for the indie pop music that is played throughout the video. My girlfriend told me to write that the soundtrack is mellow, which it is, but I'd much rather something soothing than a wild break down song where all I can think about is how many ninjas I need to kill before I can reach awesome scene status. I'm sure if you were trying to impress a cute art girl from your university, you could put this DVD on purely for the soundtrack (the arty scenery footage would be beneficial to your cause also), chances are she will love one of the bands and she'll be yours forever…or at least the next half an hour.
I don't know if I'm the only one that likes this, but a good credits section can make or break a video. After all the serious riding clips, it is always nice to have a bit of footage of people goofing around, homeless dudes talking shit and all the other stuff that makes riding street so awesome. Add this footage to a nice upbeat song that makes you smile and you’ve got a few minutes of fun that can sometimes be better than the actual riding. The credits on Let's Get Mystical are not better than the main riding sections, because that is great, but it’s definitely up there on the leader board in terms of great credits footage.
Included in the extras are a few Mutiny web edits, which are always great to see in their original quality. As great as it is to see edits on Vimeo the day after they are filmed, nothing compares to seeing them on a TV connected to your surround sound for the full viewing experience. You can’t emulate that when you're hunched over a laptop. The Randy Taylor edit is great; I find it ridiculous that someone can use footage of that calibre in a throwaway web edit.
The only section of this video I don't like in Let’s Get Mystical is the epic slow mo dark skate park section. Personally this bores me to tears as you can just go to Camberwell and Box Hill to see the same riding, and the filming itself is not completely amazing either. It is fairly short, but it is the only section where I have thought about pushing skip on my new remote control.
So in summary, if you love mutiny you should buy this DVD as it features the team riding great places and showing why they are well respected within bmx. Even though there is a lack of individual parts, I do believe there is enough to keep anyone interested for the full DVD, or even just a section before you head out riding for the day. As easy as it is to wait for someone to upload it to a torrent, I think its worth spending the $30 on a DVD so you can watch it on your TV with your friends, and also to support a company willing to put the time, effort and money into releasing a quality film on DVD. I’m sure they make no money from DVD sales.

On Thursday I had to visit Max at his studio to get some repairs done to my Jeans. Joey from downstairs was also there to get measured up for some customs.

On Friday it was Max's birthday party at his newish residence. We were all discussing how this massive wooden peace sign was hanging from the wall when Max advised us it was made of cardboard. There is a photo on Tom Walsh's facebook of him next to it to confirm how massive this thing was.

Poncho Poncho man. People get super hyped when they put this poncho on. I hear it used to be Prior's, so that could be the reason.

Chris is back from Canada and working again already. He said it wasn't as much of a holiday as he thought it was because Prior was there for the last months. Welcome back.

The birthday boy! Its not his birthday until Wednesday, but its always good to hang out in a backyard around a fire with some great people. I hope you had a good party Max.

Tree and I were reading Made For Skate, which documents skateboarding footwear history. Its was amazing how many awesome shoe companies have come and gone. Tree said "Dude! remember the muskas with the stash tongue, those were amazing" and then we turned the page...

Saturday morning Lauren and I went to the cafe across from my house for breakfast. They make really simple, but amazing pancakes. And they actually cook them properly and not leave them doughy on the inside. I hate that. Lauren needed her energy as she was off to parklife.

I went riding down at docklands for the whole day. It was a great day to be out.

Every week there seems to be new buildings going up at docklands. This one has been there for a few months but I had never seen the wall garden before.

The only thing they are pulling down at Docklands is the poor mans London Eye. I didnt even get to go on it.

After a few conversations and emails via a track bike forum, it came to my attention that the brand manager for Farmers Union lives around the corner from me. I went to his house and got this tshirt. Its a promotion for a new release in South Australia, as seen on the back.

It was raining when I dropped Lauren off at her house, but it was a great day when we got to Rosebud for some Jam. Gil and Polly even went swimming at the beach. This was on Sunday

This local did a backflip from the in out thing. He also had a gold spray painted leg, and I didnt see him ride after this.

I move house this Friday. I'm pretty excited.

After looking at a new place for me to live, Lauren and I went to the Melbourne Show. These goats must have had a hard night.

Horses are awesome because they are so big and majestive. if they were unicorns, then maybe they'd be even more rad.

Lauren wanted fairy floss. Fairy floss always tastes the same, its great.

$120. bit of a bargain. Didn't fit in my pocket though, so I passed on the opportunity.

The woodchopping is the best part of the show. I think its hilarious they have 'race' axes.

A few years ago, I had a conversation with Annaliese about her going to Canada and becoming a ski instructor because she hated school and need an escape. She had no real ski experience and was going to have lessons before going for a job, like someone would take driving lessons before going for their licence. When she got back from her first season in Canada she had great stories of teaching rich peoples' kids how to ski and riding some of the most amazing mountains in the world. Since then she has done the endless winter deal, and seems to finally being recognised for her obvious talents.

We had coffee a few weeks ago and she had stories of early morning interview questions and stresses about photos, but her interview on Winter Volume (I'm no ski expert, so I have no idea about this site) seemed to turn our nicely despite some obvious journalistic errors (I swear 720 is 2 spins, not 3) presents her as someone just keen to shred.

GZA - THE GENIUS

On Friday it was time to go out for dinner with everyone. We were let into level 3 of Wolfenstein.

Luke had been out shopping. Maybe he has a free dress day at school or something.

It was September 11 and Rob happened to be wearing this tshirt. He didnt realise the importance until he got to work.

The girls drank wine and Lauren ended up pretty tipsy. Lauren loves it when I take photos of her.

Everyone went to the river and I met TRL at Benny's apartment. Luke G happened to be there also.

Am I the last one to know that Lachie has a misfits tattoo?

Grinch has now cut off his dread locks.

Everyone from TRL is rocking tattoos these days. Rob just wanted to get to GZA, he wasnt down for the wild antics. this photo is really out of focus also.

We eventually trekked to St Kilda to see GZA. GZA is probably the best member of Wu-Tang Clan so everyone was really excited and he didnt dissapoint.

The crowd was super hyped, dancing around and throwing W's in the air. Look at the flow on Grinch's dreads, you know he is getting down to the GZA!

After almost a 90 minute set he was finished and we were all worn out but with big smiles on our faces. Thanks GZA. YOU KILLED IT!! He also confirmed that Wu-Tang will be here for the mega ramp deal at Etihad stadium. Looks like I'll have to get a ticket to that.

Lastnight we didnt have dinner at Wagamama or Dumplings, but it was japanese so its not like we were living on the edge.

Rob devoured his tofu something something whilst lauren, sinead and christina discussed Gossip Girl season 2.

Dan, who is my friend via intimidation, had a gallery deal on little lonsdale, right next to the Harley Development place. TRL was out in full effect, as per usual.

I bought this Occy painting. It'll go great next to my original 1972 Rip Curl board shorts.

Sinead and Rob had an hour to kill before their bus, so Lauren and I joined them at Big W. The highlights were anything with hearts on them, including heart canvas shoes which lauren bought.

I then dinked Lauren home on my new commuter bike.

I also have no idea why my photos are corrugated.

I worked on Saturday morning. This is my view from my desk. The daily highlights include watching idiots park their cars, people getting parking tickets and also seeing people ride past on their bikes. every once in a while you might see Zoo Homegirls.

Congratulations to Sinead on getting her licence and first motorvehicle.
After working, we went out into the deep deep deep eastern suburbs. Cooper has recently upgraded his DSLR and loves it with all his heart.

Filmer drives an E series falcon so we can discuss such interesting issues as brake shudder and head failure. He also has a new video out, so if you see him hassle him for one. Maybe give him $5 to cover his costs. Marnold was wearing his bullet proof hat because we were in the hood.

The annual rail walking competition took out Marnold and Gil quite spectacularly. Liam jumped straight into it.

and then rain along the rest of the rail to take 1st prize. he also did rail stuntzzz on his bike, but i cant show you those photos.

we ended up back at Dandenong to ride the box jumps. It doesnt make sense that they start out long and low, and then end high and short.

Sunday was spent driving through the hell hole that is new estates. We saw a sign for Stage 53 of one estate. I'd love to live in an area with one million speed humps and traffic jams on a Sunday. This guy took the 'a mans house is his castle' approach literally.

We were riding by this lake with nice ducks.

But then the ducks turned wild.

and tried to kill another duck! there are 4 ducks here ganging up on one other duck that is under the water! we left before things got too nasty.

As per the last few years, Lauren got us tickets to see a fashion show at the Town Hall. We had been to the one that shows Alpha60, Romance was Born etc a couple of times and thought it was time to change our viewings.

The event was sponsored by Nutrient Water so I enjoyed one of those, whilst Lauren had a wine or champagne.
We sat in the cheap seats, which is a better view anyway. Everyone in the cheap seats gets there real early, whilst the people on the ground rush in right on 6:30. I sat next to a girl who was super excited. I think it was her first fashion show.

Obviously my photos of what was being shown sucks. but the highlights were Dhini. It had nothing at all to do with the girls wearing awesome soldiers hats.

The low of the show was Nicola Finetti which was just lame party dresses. I'm sure the girls in Moonee Ponds would love that stuff though. EDIT: They werent that bad, just not that great.

As avid supporters of Canadian music, we met up in Richmond before going to the Corner. Luke had his new rig there, and was designated driver.

The first band we saw had pretty good music, but they lacked any lyrical substance.
We sat up in the beer garden for a while and kept ourselves amused. Supposedly Peter Jackson or some other cigarette guy paid to have this beer garden built so people would keep pumping down dozzas.

The guy from Heroes has a new haircut and a new job. He now takes photos for three thousand. Times must be tough.

The Handsome Furs played at Rob was very excited. You can see his excited head there on the right. They were actually quite good.

Lastnight I went out for dinner for my birthday.
Christina was excited to come along, but then her car died so here is a photo of her from last week eating a crazy water melon treat from the asian supermarket.

I dont think there is any surprise as to where we all went. You can basically assume its dumplings or wagamama. We discussed great things like how to get giga pudding, how to get debacle into my possession and 7 or 8 people going to see Handsome Furs this thursday even though only 1 or 2 are actually fans.

The food was delicious as per usual, and the company was amazing. Rob was distracted throughout the dinner though.

I had a photo of Angus and his girlfriend, but she deleted it.
After months of being edited out of photos, Cale made his first appearance a few weeks ago. Here is his second, whilst not enjoying his cocktail at mai tai.

I didnt carry around my camera over the weekend, so you miss out on seeing me have pizza with my dad, chill with kelly the cat, drop magazines off at my swine flu uncles house, eat crunchies with my grandparents, get my motorcycle learners, drive in the wind, go to Ausbike, vacuum, cut my hair and watch Australian Idol.
BUT, These photos are from a few weeks ago where I had dumpling for dinner 3 out of 5 nights.

Sam sent out an SMS asking if people wanted to go to see a documentary on new york skateboarding. Of course I was down. Red Eye reduction was not functioning when this photo was taken.

For someone who doesnt drink, I do a good job at promoting many beer companies.

Since eating dumplings only takes about 20minutes, we had heaps of time to kill before the movie. We went to the carpark, and lauren read the SportsGirl Times.

It was a really wet night, and people were lining up to get into Charltons. Charltons is great, but not 'line up in the rain' great.

Before seeing the documentary, Sam and I played buck hunter or deer shooter.....We played a hunting video game. The documentary was good, especially all the early Gonz footage. Its called Dogtown to Deathbowl and Chloe Sevigny is the narrator, which makes sense I suppose if you've seen kids. I dont know if it will be released on dvd, but I'm sure google knows. Google knows everything.

This is actually from Monday, and should be last, but it isnt.

On the way to dumplings we ran into Steele who was putting up posters for his comedy stuff. This drunk or unstable person came up to him and was all 'do you know who you look like??'. I was ready to go 'ah yeah, you really do look like....' but when Steele asked who he looked like, the guy laughed and pointed towards the sky and exclaimed 'TOM!'. This went on for a few minutes, and Sinead later told a story about the same guy telling her and christina how big his penis is.

Now rewind to the Saturday. Dumplings is a great place to apply make up and do all the things you run out of time to.

It was Alex's 21st, so i wandered over. Everyone was in Dan's room in his bed.

Cale was there, and I dont have a photo of Alex.

The Nations Capital

Last Friday I got on a plane and went to Canberra.

Cooper picked me up, and after having breakfast we drove to Backbone. We spotted this spot called INSANO!!!! on the way over. Itd be nice if people gave spots awesome names like that today. Death bank is probably the best one i can think of, and thats gone now.

Rhysty from Backbone gave us a few local spots to suss out. When we got here it was pouring down rain, and usually we wouldnt bother getting out of the car, but since we were tourists we headed to turtle bowl

Coops had picked me up from the airport earlier. He has been on walkabout for the past 3 or 4 weeks.

We also went to this pretty famous spot. It had water in it, but it was good to see it. many possibilities during the drier months.

Erindale is one of those 'must visits' in Canberra.

We ran into Mr Miner at Tuggas after he finished work.

Instead of riding the city on Fridays like we do in Melbourne, everyone goes to Weston Creek and does booming airs. I think if you live in Canberra you have to be able to air at least 5 foot out both ways.

Phil and Jase turned up about 11pm the night before. Jase got a clip within hours of waking up.

We went to the rail that Beardo backlipped on the Poon run. The mega ramp roll in was still set up.

Phil had never been to Tuggarenong and had wanted to basically his whole life. He also had chinese food for the first time on this trip. I think he must spend too much time eating his mothers home cooked meals.

Jase and Phil wouldnt stop talking about bowling, so we went on Saturday night. it seemed like the place to be, they even had Hen's nights there.

We went to this spot under the road and the police came within 15minutes. they told us to stay off the road and not to get ran over. They didnt care about people grinding ledges or not having helmets.

The schools of the future have rockclimbing walls. all we had at my school were trees to climb. Kids are spoilt today.

We went to see the new GI Joe. its obviously very exciting.

Someone else must've enjoyed the movie also.

On Monday I caught a ride back with Cooper, the trip was alot longer than my 40 minute flight.

A lovely girl I have known forever is currently in LA for ITVFest, which is related to an online series she did called OZgirl. I didnt stay connected to the series whilst it was being released on the internet due to my limited internet resources (aka its too hard to watch tv on the internet at work), but a few weeks ago I purchased it on dvd and I was hyped on it. Shanrah plays a wild bitch of a cousin who really is a lost cause, and terrorises her cousin who moved from the country for school. More happens in the series obviously, like her cousin working in a coffee shop like Kino does, but I'm not going to retell it all here. Check it out if you're semi interested because its on the internet and free, people love free things.

Fire destroys cafe

THE CFA is investigating a fire which destroyed Traralgon cafe Streeteats early this morning.
According to police, the blaze started in the Franklin Street cafe about 3.25am and caused smoke damage to neighbouring Westpac, Panthers Mensland and an antique shop on Seymour Street.
Traralgon Police Sergeant John Farquhar said the owner of Streeteats had been carrying out renovations in the cafe early this morning, before securing the building and leaving.
Sgt Farquhar said this was when the fire started.
Morwell CIU Detective Senior Constable Rod Findlay said the cause of the fire was not known and investigations were continuing.
Traralgon CFA incident controller Trevor Hair said firefighters contained the blaze in about 45 minutes and continued to monitor the building throughout the morning.
He said an aerial platform from Dandenong was called to help extinguish the blaze from above because structural damage made it dangerous to enter the building.
A section of Seymour Street and the footpath in front of the damaged building were closed off this morning.

Heron Island - part two

We were chillin on the beach and a heap of people were gathering around this dead sting ray, since im a sticky beak i went and had a look. the conversation i heard went like this " japanese japanese japanese japanese.. barb... japanese japanese japanese japanese... Steve Irwin..."

Lauren had her birthday on the island so we had a picnic on the beach.
we couldnt really buy a birthday cake, so magnums were enjoyed instead

This is low tide at the port. at low tide, swimming is pretty useless because the reef is exposed and the fish go elsewhere for a while.

as part of my photoshoot for snorkellers monthly. we went out to another reef. i saw a heap of finding Nemo fish, and even some turtles.

There wasn't any mobile coverage on the island, luckily a quality company liek Telstra put some pay phones on the island so lauren could talk to her brother.

Lauren has some pool skills not too many people know about.

High tide at the port. the tide is about 2.5metres and high tide provides superb snorkelling conditions.

Happy hour. all the kids wanted to drink the 'slurpees' and their parents had to tell them they were for grown ups.

a heap of sharks can be found on the reef at high tide. we swum around with them and they didnt seem to care much for us.

Lauren is watching a school of fish being round up by about 7 or so sharks. we watched it for about 20 minutes, it was super interesting.

this was the balcony of our little house. i had to put the camera on a chair then a table so i could set the timer on this photo.

The water was really rough for our boat road home. i really didnt want to spew so i shelled out the cash for a helicopter ride back to the mainland.

Lauren in the helicopter. i got the front seat because i was most hyped for the helicopter ride.

port of miami, i mean gladstone. on our way in we saw the boat from gladstone. we left 105minutes later than the boat and still beat everyone to the airport by at least half an hour.

we had an hour to spare at the gladstone airport before flying to brisbane, but it was spent replying to a heap of sms which werent received due to the lack of mobile coverage.

qantas then lost our bags, but we got them back the next day.

go to heron island. if i was in heron right now i'd be having an afternoon nap.

Heron Island - part one

Last saturday lauren and i jumped on a plane and started our journey to Heron Island. It was super early.

Token.
Flying during the day/morning is semi interesting because you can look out at all the natural wonders. Its ridiculous how much spare land there is in Australia.

When we were coming into Gladstone on the little plane, we both wondered what this red paddock was all about. We later found out its ore which they turn into aluminium. Its a big source of employment for gladstonians.

We arrived ready to catch the boat to Heron. I had not changed into my summer outfit yet.

Dozens of these big boats wait outside the harbour to come in and collect some aluminium or coal before taking it somewhere around the world. you can tell which ones have picked up their cargo because if they are fully loaded you cant see the red paint on their bodies (or hulls?!)

On the boat to heron i spewed my guts up. I came out of the toilet and saw this island. i took a photo of it thinking it was heron. Lauren informed me minutes later it was not in fact heron island. we were only half way on in our boat journey.

The harbour at Heron. Mr Heron blew up part of the reef so people could drive boats in. The ship wreck is some Australian navy vessel that served in 3 wars.

Lauren on the beach. it was really bright, her sunglasses mustve been in her bag.

I had no changed into my summer gear. the hat is transeasonal.

In the 1800's they hung pirates from this structure, now it just makes for a nice sunset photo.

The food on Heron was delicious, obviously. The funny thing was that all the seafood is frozen because we were so far away from the regular fishing channels.

about half of Heron Island is national park, so as well as great beaches there is awesome rainforest type trees. This was our regular path to the beach.

I have no idea what this is, but they were all through the rocks at low tide.

Our little house was set amongst the trees and we didnt have neighbours all week.

Even though its queensland, the water isnt that warm so we hired wet suits for our snorkelling adventures. This is a behind hte scenes photo from my interview for snorkellers monthly.

Lauren was very excited for happy hour each day, where cocktails were $11 each. As i am so dedicated to getting pissed, i took great advantage of these cut price alcoholic drinks.

is vanishing across the seas to cAYnAYdAY on TUesday, so lastnight he had a bit of a going away. Prior has the best stories and chances are if you haven't seen him for more than a couple of days, he has a something great to tell you. Prior also had the best blog ever running for a long period of time, but gave it all away after too many people knew what was going on in his life. I miss reading his blog, but am secretly glad to hear his adventures first hand. I hope Prior keeps on keeping on in Canada and returns one day to bless us all with his presence.

Lauren's Pre Birthday

Its Lauren's birthday next week, but we'll be away, so she invited some friends to Wagamama to feast on their delicious Japanese Fusion delights. It was amazing, as always.

After dinner I had to get my car and drive over to Shake Some Action. Rob and I saw a cat as we were walking. We are both big fans of cats, and were excited by our discoveries.

Christina had driven the girls over to that side of town in the girls car. They couldnt get a table at some vodka place so were just chilling on the bench.

Sinead got a call from the Vodka place saying they now had a table for us, so off we went.

Birthday cocktail type drink with vodka and things in it. I dont know what it is exactly, I had a coke and raspberry.

We went to 161 and it was just like old times, which isnt entirely a bad thing. This photo is of Rob sitting by himself, no one else is in the photo.

Sam was out to get wild and was showing everyone that the dance floor was actually owned by himself. I dont know how things ended up.

Christina couldnt handle being out sober and also having to work the next morning. We both walked each other to our cars and did the responsible thing and went home to bed.

Lauren is now at my house probably feeling a bit tired from her antics.. but at least she has a horse lamp now.

Is overseas at the moment, and it seems like he has been there forever. He doesnt update his blog very often but when he does its amazing. My favourite part is when he was in Ireland and they gave him a heap of potatoes for dinner.
